Routine Yacht Maintenance
Regular visits, thorough inspections, and clear documentation. We catch small problems before they turn into expensive ones.
The Approach
Prevention Is the Whole Point
Most serious boat problems don’t appear overnight — they develop slowly from missed fluid changes, unnoticed corrosion, small leaks that go unchecked, or zincs that get depleted well past their effective life. Routine maintenance is about staying ahead of all of it. We schedule regular visits to your vessel, work through a consistent inspection checklist, and document what we find every single time. You get a record of your vessel’s condition and clear communication about anything that needs attention — no surprises, no guesswork.
What We Do
How We Do It
Engine Inspection & Fluid Checks
We check engine oil, gear oil, coolant, power steering fluid, and hydraulic levels. We inspect belts, impellers, zincs, raw water strainers, and exhaust components. Any sign of wear, weeping, or corrosion gets documented and flagged before it becomes a breakdown.
Through-Hull & Seacock Inspection
Through-hull fittings and seacocks need to be exercised regularly or they seize up — which is a serious problem if you ever actually need them. We operate each one, check for corrosion or signs of failure, and note condition in the service log.
Zinc Inspection & Replacement
Zincs protect your running gear, shaft, and hull fittings from galvanic corrosion. We check all zincs on each visit and replace them before they’re depleted past the point of effectiveness. In the electrolytic environment of a marina, this isn’t optional — it’s essential.
Bilge Check & Pump Testing
We inspect the bilge for water accumulation, oil contamination, and debris. Bilge pumps are tested to confirm they’re operational. A bilge that’s taking on water unnoticed — or a pump that fails silently — can sink a boat at the dock. We make sure neither happens.
Service Log & Report
After every visit, we update your vessel’s service log and send you a report. What was checked, what was found, what was done, and what needs attention next. You have a complete maintenance history and can make decisions with real information.
Why It Matters
Maintenance Done Right, Every Time
1
We Come to Your Dock
Wherever your vessel is in the Keys, we come to it. Our service is fully mobile across the Florida Keys — you don't move the boat, we move.
2
Consistent Technicians
The same people visit your vessel regularly. They know her quirks, her history, and what's changed. That continuity matters when you're trying to spot developing problems.
3
Detailed Written Records
Every visit is documented. Engine hours, fluid levels, component condition, anything we flag. A proper log also makes a difference at resale time.
4
Vendor Coordination
When something needs a specialist — a mechanic, a rigger, a canvas shop — we coordinate it. You don't have to manage multiple vendors. We do.
