Gelcoat Restoration for Florida Keys Hulls

When a hull has turned dull or chalky, a basic wash will not solve it. Our dockside gelcoat correction brings back depth, color and a finish ready for protection.

Service Questions

Gelcoat Restoration questions, answered.

Can severe oxidation be corrected with polishing?

Rotary wool and dual-action foam or wool pad polishing can correct many faded or chalky finishes. When machine polishing cannot resolve severe defects, sanding may be required.

Will gelcoat restoration include protection afterward?

After correction, we can recommend wax, sealant or ceramic protection based on the finish, exposure and the maintenance plan you want to follow.

Does the correction process change by material?

Yes. Fiberglass, aluminum and wood require different products and techniques. We assess the surface material and condition before confirming the process.

Can a basic wash fix dull or chalky gelcoat?

No. A wash removes surface grime, but dull or chalky gelcoat usually needs a correction process to restore depth and clarity.
